Sofa Day!
I’ve got the sick bug that’s going around, so just spending most of my time sleeping.
I blame mama she should know better was texting my Auntie Laura when my cousins were unwell. Everyone knows that germs get passed on through contact!
Running into people’s gardens.
This is my new favourite game. I’ve been playing it for the last few weeks since mama’s been letting me walk home from Lizzie’s.
I go into people’s gardens or run up their garden paths. The aim is to get as far as I can before mama catches me then I go onto the next one.
Today, when mama put me down to walk (she says she has to carry me across the road) I reminded her there was a cat in one of them, so she could help me look for it again.
Gotta go having a soak in a bubble bath.
We went to the science museum today. We had to get there on the bus where Mummy and Daddy let me sit in my own seat and hold on like a big girl.
At the museum I played with some boats in a water experiment, there were lots of other children playing too. Then we walked around a very funny place. It had loads of exciting things to touch and run around and through. After lunch I had a nap while Mummy and Daddy looked at some boring stuff.
When I woke from my nap we were in a park. I got to run around loads, chasing dogs and birds and squirrels. Daddy carried me on his shoulders so I could see high in to the trees. We sat by a pond and fed all the animals there. I walked really far through the park, so much that when we got home I was really really tired and fell asleep on Mummy on the sofa
It was a really fun day.
Why don’t parents listen?
I’ve been trying to tell mama and Dada that I have more teeth coming through and am therefore in lots of pain to no avail.
Yesterday mama was making dinner when my gums just suddenly really hurt. I was unconsolable, she came in to ‘be with me’ and then when I did not stop picked me up for a little while, but then said “I have to put you down Ada, so I can make the dinner.” Er, mama the last thing I cared about at that time was dinner, I’m in serious pain!
Today, I tried again, by suddenly getting upset during my bath. I thought this would work as there was no other reason I could be upset, they were both with me, I’d not hurt myself and I love baths. But no, fair enough they did quickly get me out of the bath, but I had to cry so much I was a little sick and it seemed only my refusal to brush my teeth, which I usually love, but could not face at that moment in time, started them thinking about my teeth. Though I wasn’t too impressed that they still tried to get me dressed.
Finally, Dada gave me some teething gel and said he could feel teeth. D’uh, what have I been telling you for the last few days, maybe you should listen rather than just replying “Really”.
So I have 2 or 4 teeth coming through towards the back of my mouth all at the top.
It snowed this weekend and Mummy and daddy took me outside to play in it. It was very cold but they wrapped me up warmly. They made some snowmen for me.
Too big!
I had my first shoe fitting today. It turns out most retailers including Clarks do not think babies can be my size and walking. So i’m stuck with oversized shoes and two pairs of socks.
